Announcement: awate.com restored
Awate.com is back alive.
Since September 2023, awate.com was crippled due to unexpected internal logistical/technical issues. That was the longest disruption since it was launched on September 1, 2000. Luckily, with the help of a few concerned people, we have overcome the problems, and we are on.
In the coming weeks, we plan to adopt the long postponed operational changes and will try to revitalize Gedab News as well as the Pencil, our editorial column. The immediate changes are as follows:
- Establish an advisory body to manage and moderate the Awate Discussion Form.
- Assign stringers in places significant to our activity.
- Call volunteers to read and present content, mainly news and editorials.
- Call on different localities to establish Awate/Negarit support groups.
- We will start members-only live streaming.
- We will streamline the collection of ideas for the improvement of our performance.
- All columnists are kindly asked to update their columns. Content in dormant columns will be archived in a general folder. If there are willing people who would like to have columns, they should contact us to replace the dormant ones.
We are happy to continue serving you.
Thank you.

M/Brhan,
Of course there are many untold stories, but this is a concise piece fit for the episode's message. You can't stuff everything in a specific topic unless it elaborates on the topic at hand.
