    The call you are making is long over due. Some of us (including yours truly ) have been hearing this call every day since many years: 2001 and then 2004. Sure that you recall those times. As might still be fresh in your mind, the scene of the congress of 2011 in Hawassa had revealed much of the real impediments the opposition intrincally suffers from, which cannot be plausibly understood in isolation of the socio-demographic setup and the contradictory dynamics within it.

    Now, we have come to a point where trying to come up with a fraction of Hawassa size forum has become a mirage on the horizon. This is to say, the work and efforts to generate the resurgence of the country under the current circumstances , which is an absolute and optimistic inclination, have added many-fold complexities and challenges. Such a framework needs a new threshold that can fit the objective and subjective reality. The old way of stricking the balance or consensus on the basis of the so called all-inclusive scenario has become costly anachronism as you have insinuated. The idea is to rely on smaller and narrower can-be-done consensus and building on them at least to keep momentum of resisting the dictator’s sale of the polity.

      It is already having effect in that we notice a season has skipped this October 31. Allow me to illustrate with news paper’s headline in Eritrea:

      You see gentlemen, like clock work this day has been, for nearly over a decade, for the Eritrean Diaspora opposition to trick or treat US and European Capitals with the sounds of “down down dictator, down down Isias…” A simple check on the date and the activities of the Eritrean Opposition, particularly those in the US, will confirm the usage of Haloween as it perhaps emphasised the monster for the muzungus. As I am American grown, I feared for the Eritreans to be mistaken for trick or treaters goblins adding to the scare for the muzungus of the aliens amongst them. Well, thinkgs have changed as the season has been skipped where Eritrean horor stories and of monsters and maglomaniacs, simply just bad news items, are short in supply this holloween eve.

      ሕጽረት ተወፋይነት ብ ሕልፊ ምስ ተወፋይነት ሰውራ ኤርትራ ኣወዳዲርካ የለን ሎሚ ኢልካ ዝስገር ነገር ኣይኮነን ኢቲ ጉዳይ። ኣብ ሰውራ ግዜ ቡዙሕ ተማርጸሉ አዋን ኣይነበረን። ሎሚ ግን ዋላ ኢቲ ቃልሲ ባዕሉ ሽሕን ሚአትን ኣሞራጽ ዘለዎ ኮይኑ ይስመዓኒ። ሃይለTG ምስ ደንማርኪኖ ዓርከይ ፕሮፈሶር ጳውሎስ ክትዕ ብዛዕባ ዳይናሚክስ አዚ ህልው ቃልሲ ኣብታ ቃለ መጠየቕ መለስ ዜኖው thread ተመልከት። In it how the circumstance of the Qalsi is dynamic and not static is well presented by HaileTG.       Yes Ayya Saleh the Qalsi is just undergoing the very necessary metamorphisis. It is not Hankas, rather iti Qalsi yQeniEn QunuEin iyyu.
