Three steps, and you are publishing.

  1. Choose your address

A free address on awate.com to start, the domain you already own, or a new one registered here. The choice is reversible, and your links follow you when you change it.

  2. Pick how it looks

A complete website — front page, sections, contact — arrives ready to edit. Change the words, the colours and the pictures; nothing needs installing.

  3. Write

The editor you already know, with the hosting, the updates and the certificates taken care of. What you write is yours, and leaves with you if you ever go.

One place for everything you publish.

Your site sees only its own writers, pages, pictures and menus. Sign in once, move between the sites you keep, and give somebody an account of their own without handing over the keys to everything.

02 · What you start from

Begin with a website that already looks finished.

Three ways to get an address.

01 · Free

An awate.com address

The quickest way to be online: a working address today, at no cost, and you can put your own domain on it later without rebuilding anything.

02 · Yours

The domain you already own

Point it here and keep it where it is registered. We show you exactly what to change, and your old site stays up until the new one answers.

03 · New

A domain registered here

Search, pick and register in the same breath as the website. The records are set for you, and the certificate arrives on its own.

You watch it happen, and your old site stays up.

Before you start, the honest answers.

Is this really WordPress?

Yes — the editor you already know. What is taken away is the hosting, the updates and the plugin maintenance.

Can I move my existing site here?

Yes. Bring the domain, and the writing comes across; your old site keeps answering until the new one does.

What if I want to leave?

You take everything: the writing, the pictures and the domain. Nothing here is a lock.

Who can see my drafts?

Only you and whoever you give an account to. Each site sees its own writers and nobody else’s.

Your website starts here.

Choose an address, pick how it looks, and publish today.
